The MAC Gym Covid-Policy
While we are a ministry of FBC Brandon and a non-profit organization, we would like to cooperate to the best of our ability with Hillsborough County's mandate.
The MAC has enhanced our social distancing protocol by adding plexi-glass barriers at the front desk. We are asking you to wear a mask upon entering the facility, but you are not required to wear one while exercising and we are taking temperatures upon arrival.
We have increased the amount of times our staff and volunteers are sanitizing the facility during the day.
Our exercise classes are operating with small numbers and are social distancing.
It is up to you to social distance, please stand on red marks where applicable and do not move chairs on the court as they are placed 6 feet apart. Please stand/sit 6 feet apart on the sidelines when observing sports activities. While in the workout area, do not congregate anywhere on the floor. When it is not possible for you to social distance, please wear a mask.
Remember to wash hands and hand sanitize often. We have hand sanitizer at the front desk, at the entrance to the basketball courts and in the fitness room. Sinks are in the lobby and in the restrooms for hand washing.
Due to our strict sanitation protocols, we are asking you to please wipe down equipment after each use.
We are proud to say we have had no cases of covid attributed to using our facility.
The International Health, Racquet & Sportsclub Association (IHRSA) and MXM, a technology and knowledge transfer company specializing in member tracking within the fitness industry, conclusively found that fitness facilities are safe and are not contributing to the spread of COVID-19. See the attached link for information on their findings.
